A 200-level student of the Faculty of Law, University of Ibadan (UI) in Oyo State, has been arrested by the institution’s security officials for allegedly raping a 100-level colleague within the campus. Some gunmen dressed in military uniform allegedly kidnapped seven persons along the Fidiwo axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Monday just as one person was shot dead while escaping the attack. Federal government has spent over N600 billion to subsidise electricity in 2023 alone, as forex unification and the high inflationary pressures in pushed cost-reflective tariffs to N124/kWh.
