Following the celebration that permeates the entire state on the occasion of Engr Seyi Makinde’s one year anniversary in office as the executive governor of Oyo state, executives of the Authentic Mogajis of Ibadanland have expressed satisfaction with the performance of the governor and described him as an exceptional leader who has successfully restored the pride and dignity of being an Ibadan indigene with his transformational policies.
The publicity secretary of the authentic Mogajis, Mogaji Akinsola Olawale Oladoja, in a statement signed on behalf of the Mogajis and made available to Sunrise Bulletin, stated that governor Seyi Makinde has made all sons and daughters of Ibadanland and Oyo state at large proud because of the way and manner he has gone about te affaires of the state in the last one year.
The Mogajis noted that even though it was normal for anyone to harbour scepticism at the inception of the present administration on the ground that it was the first time of governor Makinde in public office, the governor has managed to skillfully surpass all expectations within just one year.
According to the statement, Mogaji Oladoja, stressed that governor Makinde was a politician with a clear difference who could safely be likened to the late Obafemi Awolowo and Bola Ige adding that his genuineness of purpose and skillful approach to governance stand him out.
The Authentic Ibadan Mogajis affirmed that things that were hitherto, perceived by many as almost impossible in government have been made possible by governor Makinde stressing that the governor has shown the real capacity expected of a true leader particularly in its sterling performance in education sector, public health, critical infrastructures, Security, and exposure of the state to the boundless opportunities in agribusiness tailored towards economic development.
The royals according to the release stressed further that it doesn’t matter who gets the job done because government is all about holding public in trust for the people who elected those in power to offices adding that the state government under governor Makinde has fully restored the pacesetter glory of the state with its diverse developmental projects and policies.
The body however assured that it will continue to rally the peoples support for a performing government noting that the support the present administration under governor Seyi Makinde has continued to enjoyed among residents and traditional councils in the state are all attestation to great performance by the government.
Other executive members of the authentic Mogajis who celebrated the governor Makinde in the press statement include, Mogaji Ademola Olasomi, Mogaji Molade Adeyemo Rasaq, Mogaji Aperin Adekunle Olaonumi, Mogaji Itabigbo Badmus Adewale, Mogaji Olugbode Abiodun Tesleem, Mogaji Osho Falere Fagbenro, and Mogaji Olanrewaju Fatai of Fatumo compound.
