Apostle Suliamon, Adeboye,Idahosa Support embattled Nigeria
Popular Nigerian female preacher Mrs Funke Adejumo has come under blistering attacks, after a video, wherein she was telling her Church members to sow a seed of N1 million for stupendous wealth became viral,The video which some have found disturbing and very unchristian, has led to the signing of a petition to stop her from entering the United Kingdom in the future. The petition so far has gathered about four thousand signatures and it’s likely to increase in the coming days.
However, a counter petition on change.Org. has already amassed over ten thousand signatures in support of the embattled preacher.
Some Nigerian pastors have risen to her defence, accusing her attackers, as been unfair, calling the petition as one against christianity. Leke Adeboye, son of the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye, in a social media post, condemned the attack wondering why support for Funke Adejumo has been quite.
Others who have spoken in defence of the wife of the founder of Agape Christian church Felix Adejumo, included the Apostle Johnson Suleiman, General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries. In a Youtube video the fire brand preacher, who is no stranger to controversy, remarked that,
“I was a journalist, there is nothing you will write about me that will get to me, I won’t even read it and now its a woman of God, Reverend Funke Adejumo that they are busy attacking. It is not right, it is not fair and it will not stand. We stand by her at this time. We pray for her that this will be promotion for her ministry…”
Wife of late Bishop Idahosa also showed support for Mrs Adejumo, Rev. Mrs.Laurie Idahosa, as she shared a picture with Funke which she captioned:
“I don’t need to write any long explanation. If you know me and what I stand for and you know her, you’ll know why #istandwithfunkeadejumo #awesomewomanofGod”
