The Hon. Commissioner for house, lands and survey in Oyo State Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu, has said no amount of threat to life will desuade him from what he believes in. He made this known at a meeting he held with elected local government chairmen and some leaders of the ruling All Progressive Congress APC in Ibadan recently.
Speaking further, Omodewu who is the former commissioner for local government and chieftency matters told the gathering that assassins have been to his house on three different occassions, but the grace of God has kept him, noting that no amount of intimidation will make him abandon his course and beliefs.
The Oke Ogun born politician who used the occasion to inform those present at the meeting of his intention to contest the 2019 governorship election in Oyo state, stressed that the state needs a person that will not only build on the good legacy Senator Ajimobi will be leaving behind, but one who will be willing to protect his interest at all times,
Omodewu told the meeting that it is imperative for an insider to take over the reign of leadership from Senator Ajimobi, noting that anything contrary to that will not augur well for the political generation he represent, of which most of those at the meeting are members of this generation. He went further to describe himself as an “Establishment” man who has been with this government from inception.
Various speakers representing different zones of the state extolled the virtues of Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu, describing him as a person that can be trusted with higher responsibilities.
