The Omi-Apata local council development Area Chairman, Hon Sheriff Adeojo on Tuesday handed over 2 new 5KVA electricity generating sets to the DPO of Omi and Oke Alaro divisions respectively to power the police stations in his jurisdiction. With a pledge of continuous support to security agencies to ensure optimal performance.
Speaking at the LCDA headquarter at Omi-Adio while handing over the Electricity generators to the DPOs ,the Chairman reiterated his commitment of his administration to ensuring the enforcement of rule of law and safety of lives and property in the local council , just as he said that his vision was for the local council development Area to be among the safest places to live and work in Oyo state.
Hon Sheriff Adeojo urged the police to take good care of the generators and use them for the purpose meant for which is for the overall benefit and safety of the people.He noted that the Generators were purchased strictly to assist the policemen to charge their gadgets and ensure the stations are lit at night
Responding on behalf of the divisional police officers, the Omi-Apata DPO,assured The Chairman that the policemen will ensure that the facility serve the purpose they were purchased for.
