Accord disassociate self from Purported coalition With ADC in Oyo
Muda Ogunsola the state party Chairman of Accord Oyo state as disassociated the party from any form of coalition of political parties and the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presently going on in the state, saying Accord has the capacity to win in the forthcoming elections.
This was contained in a statement signed by Accord’s Oyo State secretary Mr Igbinshola Sunday on behalf of the State Chairman of the Party, Hon Muda Dayo Ogunsola. According to the statement made available to Sunrisebulletin.com, the chairman described as a sham a report, in circulation stating that agreement had been reached to form an Alliance with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Ogunsola noted that the report of a coalition is unfounded and baseless. He further observed that neither its leaders nor members participated in “any meeting that shared positions among political parties.
He also said “The Party of Accord is built on Integrity and fear of God. It is the only party that will use its various peoples oriented programmes to wipe away tears from the faces of residents of Oyo State.”
“In view of the synergy Ogunsola said it is desirable that all the opposition parties in the state coalesce so as to send the APC out of power. But such arrangement will be spearheaded by known political leaders in the State outside APC.
Ogunsola, urged residents of the state and party faithfuls to go and collect their permanent voter cards (PVC) in preparation for next year’s general elections. He also urged youths to get registered, collect their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVC) and participate actively in the nation’s electoral process.
He also invited interested aspirants to obtain forms to contest various positions in the party Secretariat in Ibadan.He tasked members of the party to make sacrifice’s, noting that the only way to achieve the party’s goals and aspirations were to unite as members of one political family urging them to always put the party first above other interest.
