Oyo south senatorial candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) and member representing Ibadan North-west/Ibadan South-west federal constituency of Oyo state in the House of Representatives, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, has met with local government and ward executives of the party in Ibadan North-west and Ibadan South-west local government areas as part of ongoing consultations and grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general election.

The meeting, which also had in attendance party faithful, political stakeholders, youth leaders, women groups and supporters from across the federal constituency, focused on strengthening the party’s structure, fostering unity and consolidating support for the Allied Peoples’ Movement across the two local government areas.

Addressing the gathering, Olajide expressed appreciation to party leaders and members for their steadfast commitment, resilience and support despite the evolving political landscape in the state.

He described political party executives as the foundation upon which every successful political movement is built, noting that their sacrifices, commitment and constant engagement with the grassroots remain indispensable to the growth and electoral success of the party.

The federal lawmaker said the meeting formed part of a series of consultations aimed at ensuring that every stakeholder within the party structure is carried along in the ongoing political realignments and preparations ahead of the next election cycle.

According to him, party leaders must remain united, disciplined and focused, stressing that internal cohesion and collective responsibility remains critical to the party’s success in future elections.

“Our meeting today is about taking stock of where we are, renewing our commitment to the party and charting a common course towards a successful outing in the 2027 general election” he said.

The Oyo south senatorial candidate emphasized that his political philosophy has always been built on consultation, inclusiveness and constant engagement with party members and constituents.

He assured the executives and part faithfuls, that their contributions to the growth of the party would continue to receive due recognition, adding that every member has a strategic role to play in building a formidable political platform capable of delivering electoral victory.

Speaking on his senatorial aspiration, the lawmaker reiterated his commitment to expanding quality representation beyond Ibadan north-west and Ibadan south-west to the entire Oyo south senatorial district.

He stated that his vision for the district is premised on human capital development, digital innovation, youth and women empowerment, educational advancement, economic inclusion, improved infrastructure and enhanced legislative advocacy.

According to him, the experience garnered from representing the federal constituency in the House of Representatives has adequately prepared him for the larger responsibility of representing the nine local government areas of Oyo south senatorial district in the senate.

Olajide assured party members that his aspiration would be about service not politics alone, pledging to sustain regular consultations with stakeholders across the senatorial district.
