As the race for APC nominations heats up,the political scenario in Adamawa state has become riddled with half truths, distortion of facts, prevarication and shenanigans as various political gladiators joustle for political points.
In their struggles,some have gone as far as to lay claims that it. is at the behest of Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri that they are coming out to contest. Seeking leverage by trying to capitalize on Fintiri’s popularity ,THE POPULACE IS THROWN INTO CONFUSION AS TO WHO TO TRUST One thing for certain is that Fintiri has not officially declared his favored candidate. When the time comes,Fintiri is not one to flinch from making his favored candidate known. One thing is however certain,he has promised to point out the direction and the candidate that can pick up and ensure continuity of his laudable projects.
YOU ALL HEARD HIM SAY SO YESTERDAY IN HIS OFFICE!
In the past few weeks,rumours are rife that his choice was Vunobolki,later Galadima,Tangwami and recently Mustapha. The case of Mustapha gained traction as a result of his visit to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri after collecting forms indicating his intention to vie for the office of governor. If others did not do so is anyone’s guess,but showing courtesy and going to meet the person he hopes to succeed is not out of place. Other candidates could have done so,and can still do same if it pleases them . For sure his visit is not an official endorsement.
At the appropriate time Fintiri will surely point out the person that his loyalist will follow. HE SAID IN THE COMING WEEK…
It stands to reason that Fintiri cannot desire to willingly handover to someone that will destroy what he meticulously crafted over eight years to be destroyed by inept or reckless successors as long as he lives. He will not love to see his beautiful works go to ruin,neither shall we his followers allow such to happen. He has set the pace and paved the path that we must tread.
So far,he avoided meddling in the purchase of nomination and declaration of interest forms The interest of the party and its mass support that he enjoys is what is paramount to Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. His relentless and selfless service that kept him going against all odds from his first tenure till date is no mean feat. His effort that transformed and lifted Adamawa from its provincial status cannot be allowed to be toyed with by charlatans. His legacies must not fall into the hands of incompetent adventurers. His legacies are our collective legacies,because we are privileged to to be part of the historical change that ushered the “Fintiri epoch.”
Fintiri will show the way when the time comes. He will show who he thinks can continue with the great job he has done. When he decides and points which of the candidates is his choice,we will once again say “KAFAR KA
