The Phenomenal Executive Adviser to the Governor of Seyi Makinde on Agribusiness and International Cooperation and Development, and Director-General of the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA), Dr Debo Akande, DBA CMGR FCMI, has emphasized the importance of stakeholder engagement ahead of the disbursement of funds under the YEAP-SAfER programme in Oyo State.
Dr. Akande noted that the upcoming stakeholder dialogues will play a vital role in ensuring that the programme delivers meaningful impact to farmers, agripreneurs, and agribusiness operators across the state.
Reflecting on previous engagements during the NCARES input distribution exercise, he explained that direct interactions with farmers and agribusiness operators provided practical insights beyond official reports and statistics.
According to him, field conversations with individuals actively working the land revealed how timely access to the right inputs can boost productivity, renew confidence, and strengthen agribusiness value chains.
He added that such experiences reinforce the significance of programmes like YEAP-SAfER and underscore the need for continuous dialogue with stakeholders before the next phase of support begins.
Dr. Akande expressed appreciation to farmers, agripreneurs, and development partners who continue to provide feedback on the impact of these interventions, noting that their contributions remain vital to improving agribusiness development initiatives across the state.
