A prominent political movement and support group for Governor Seyi Makinde, The GSMists, in Oyo State, to sustaining the ideals and legacies of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde (GSM), has extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly installed Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Sen. Rashidi Adewolu Akanmu Ladoja, Arusa I.
In a statement made available to the public through the State Public Relations Officer, Hon. Moyosoreoluwa Olamilekan Eldreez, the group described the enthronement of Oba Ladoja as a historic and unifying moment for the entire Ibadanland, Oyo State, and Yorubaland at large.
The GSMists noted that Oba Ladoja, .a respected Elderstateman, a leader of leaders, foremost Industrialist, a reputable business mogul, former Senator, former Governor of Oyo State, embodies wisdom, courage, and integrity, qualities that will further strengthen the cultural heritage and traditional institution of Ibadanland.
“We felicitate with His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, on his ascension to the revered throne of Olubadan. His wealth of experience in governance, politics, and community service will undoubtedly translate into a new era of peace, prosperity, and unity for Ibadanland and beyond,” the statement read.
The group further commended the smooth transition process that heralded the installation, applauding the traditional council, kingmakers, and all stakeholders for upholding the sanctity of Ibadan customs and traditions.
While praying for divine wisdom, strength, and longevity for the new monarch, The GSMists reaffirmed their commitment to supporting developmental initiatives that will promote peace, cultural advancement, and socioeconomic growth under the reign of Oba Ladoja.
