Hon. Najeem Omirinde, former representative of the then Ifedapo I State Constituency (now Saki West) in the Oyo State House of Assembly, expresses profound sorrow over the passing of Chief Yekini Adeojo, describing him as “a father, a political leader per excellence, and a devoted community and religious figure.”
Omirinde was elected to the Oyo State House of Assembly in the December 14, 1991 elections under the National Republican Convention (NRC), when Chief Adeojo was the leader and gubernatorial candidate of the Party.
Reflecting on the past Hon. Omirinde remarked:
“Chief Adeojo’s dedication to public service was unparalleled. His wisdom and leadership greatly contributed to the political process and the development of our dear state. Beyond politics, he was a mentor and father figure whose counsel was invaluable. His commitment to the development of Oyo state and religious harmony set a standard for us all.”
Hon. Omirinde extends his condolences to the Adeojo family, the PDP and the good people of Oyo State and all who were touched by Chief Adeojo’s life and work. He prays for strength and comfort for the bereaved and for the peaceful repose of Chief Adeojo’s soul.
“We have lost a true statesman whose legacy will continue to inspire future generations,” Omirinde concluded.
