Flanked by Nollywood celebrities and prospective home-owners, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo state, on Saturday, unveiled The Avila – a picturesque housing estate in the outskirts of Akure, amidst grand spectacle.

Represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, the governor described the initiative by Jomav Homes and Properties Ltd as a progressive idea, that is in line with his administration’s agenda.

“Housing is a fundamental need, and as a government, we recognize the vital role that the real estate sector plays in economic growth, job creation, and urban development.

“We acknowledge the contributions of companies like Jomav Homes and Properties Ltd in providing quality and affordable housing solutions to the people” the governor emphasized.

He also reiterated his administration’s commitment to partner the private sector for economic growth, saying the state has become a haven for investors.

According to him, “As a government, we remain absolutely committed to policies that foster economic development and encourage private sector participation in housing and infrastructure development.

“This is why we deliberately crafted programmes and policies, under the ‘OUR EASE’ developmental agenda, aimed at making Ondo state attractive to small scale businesses, local and foreign investors.

“One of such steps was the hosting of the largest entrepreneurship festival in Nigeria, which is the Global Entrepreneurship Festival, held in November 2024. This event, which was a fusion of entertainment and business, attracted hundreds of international investors, captains of industry, seasoned entrepreneurs and ofcourse, thousands of young people from across the country”

Speaking on The Avila’s features, Jomav’s Group Head (Admin), Chioma Alaneme, said the estate comes with 24-hour electricity supply, access roads, recreational centre, street lights, among many others.

Tagged the Avila festival, the fun-filled event was hosted by the duo of Big Brother Naija’s Bisola Aiyeola and Sagadeolu.
