In a strategic move to drive significant transformation in Nigeria’s sugar sector, the Director-General of the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership (NCSP), Joseph Tegbe, hosted a delegation from the National Sugar Development Council (NSDC) led by its Executive Secretary, Mr. Kamar Bakrin.
With Nigeria’s local sugar market valued at $2 billion annually, a reformed sector holds the potential to not only meet domestic demand but also secure a competitive share in the $10 billion Chinese sugar import market.
The working visit focused on fostering collaboration between NCSP and NSDC, exploring partnerships aimed at revolutionizing Nigeria’s sugar industry through enhanced Nigeria-China cooperation.
