Oyo State Deputy Governor, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, has felicitated with a former Oyo State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Omokunmi Mustapha, on the occasion of his 80th birthday anniversary.
In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen, the Deputy Governor described Alhaji Mustapha as a prominent son of Oke-Ogun, an astute politician and a revered elder statesman whose life has been defined by service, integrity and steadfast commitment to democratic ideals.
Barr. Lawal noted that the octogenarian has, over the decades, played significant roles in strengthening party structures and deepening democracy in Oyo State and beyond, adding that his wealth of experience and fatherly counsel remain invaluable to the political class and the younger generation.
He commended Alhaji Mustapha’s enduring contributions to the socio-political development of Oke-Ogun and the state at large, describing him as a bridge-builder and a stabilising force within the PDP.
“As you celebrate this remarkable milestone of 80 years, we celebrate a life of impact, sacrifice and dedication to the growth of our dear state and nation,” the Deputy Governor stated.
Barr. Lawal prayed that Almighty Allah grants the elder statesman continued good health, peace and wisdom to enjoy the fruits of his labour and to continue to guide the state with his invaluable counsel.
Alhaji Omokunmi Mustapha, a respected political leader in Oyo State, remains one of the foremost voices in the affairs of Oke-Ogun and the Peoples Democratic Party.
