The wife of Oyo State Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Ajibike Ajibola Lawal, was awarded an MPhil in Business Administration from Leadcity University, Ibadan, during the institution’s 18th postgraduate convocation on Wednesday at Adeline Hall.
Mrs. Lawal, a retired Union Bank manager and philanthropist, was seated among the graduands in the front row.
She was accompanied by several government officials, friends and family, including Prof. Ojewale and Mrs Sunmola from UI, Yeye Adenike Aderibigbe, the wife of the Oyo Commissioner for Training and Establishment, Mrs. Adelabu, Dr. Pitan, and many others.
Also present at the event was former Oyo Governor and 44th Olubadan, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, who was conferred with an honorary doctorate in science at the ceremony, further highlighting the prestige of the event.
In his opening remarks, Leadcity University Vice‑Chancellor Prof. Kabir Adeyemo said the graduates’ achievements reflected years of rigorous study, discipline and commitment to academic excellence.
He urged the new graduates to carry forward the values of excellence, innovation, integrity and service, and to be problem‑solvers wherever they may be.
Other notable graduates included Dr. Vincent Isegbe, the CG of the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service.
Prof. Adeyemo however commended all the graduates, encouraging them to be good ambassadors of Leadcity University and to shine in their future endeavors.
