The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Irepo Local Government recorded an unprecedented turnout at its meeting held yesterday at LA Primary School, Atipa.
According to party sources, such a massive attendance has not been witnessed in Irepo before, attributing the development to the people’s growing confidence in the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde and his Deputy, Barrister Bayo Lawal.

It will be recalled that Barr. Lawal, who hails from Irepo Local Government, played a key role in strengthening the PDP during the last election and has continued to contribute immensely to its growth.
Addressing the mammoth crowd, the newly elected PDP Chairman in Irepo, Kazeem Adekunle Olawoyin described the large turnout as a vote of confidence in Governor Seyi Makinde and his Deputy. He commended members for their steadfastness and expressed optimism that the party would deliver resoundingly in the coming election.
The chairman further lauded the Deputy Governor for his efforts in rebuilding the party structure in Irepo, noting that the impressive turnout was a clear reflection of his impact and dedication. Highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the new Party Executives to members.
