The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Bayo Lawal, has extended his profound condolences to Mr. Isaac Omotunde, the National Secretary of the Kisi Progressive Union (KPU) Worldwide, following the sudden passing of his beloved wife, Mrs. Patience Odunayo Omotunde. Mrs. Omotunde reportedly passed away in the early hours of today, Monday, October 28, 2025.
Barrister Lawal, upon receiving the news, released a statement expressing his deep sadness and solidarity with the Omotunde family during this difficult time.
“It is with immense shock and a heavy heart that I received the news of the passing of Mrs. Patience Odunayo Omotunde. This is a profound loss not just for the Omotunde family, but for the entire KPU community, which has benefitted from the dedication and service of Mr. Isaac Omotunde,” the Deputy Governor stated.
The Deputy Governor acknowledged the significant role Mrs. Omotunde must have played in the life and work of her husband, a committed figure in community development.
“Losing a spouse, a partner, and a pillar of support is perhaps the most difficult experience one can face. I want to convey my sympathies to Mr. Omotunde, the children, grandchildren, and all her loved ones. We mourn with you, and we stand by you in this moment of grief.”
Barrister Lawal concluded his message by offering prayers for the bereaved family and for the soul of the departed.
“On behalf of myself and family , I pray that the Almighty God grants the soul of Mrs. Patience Odunayo Omotunde eternal rest. May He comfort Mr. Omotunde and the entire family, granting them the fortitude and strength to bear this irreparable loss.
