In further demonstration of his inclusive and transparent approach to governance, Oyo State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has once again reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to participatory governance through the Stakeholders Consultative Meeting on the 2026 Budget, held at the Ajaawa Township Hall in the Ogbomoso Zone on 15th, Oct 2026.

The event, organized by the Oyo State Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, served as a vital platform for citizens, traditional rulers, community leaders, and development stakeholders to contribute their voices to the formulation of the 2026 budget.

Representing His Excellency at the consultative meeting, the Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, commended Governor Seyi Makinde’s transformative governance, describing him as “a talk-and-do leader who matches every promise with visible action.”

Prince Oyelade highlighted several key interventions recently approved by the governor, including the rehabilitation of critical road networks across Ogbomoso North and South, projects earlier captured in the previous budget cycle but now receiving direct executive attention.

He also celebrated the governor’s approval of the conversion of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital security personnel from contract staff to permanent employees, a gesture that has brought joy and stability to many homes.

Governor Seyi Makinde has proven time and again that he leads with compassion, vision, and action. Every region of the state, including Ogbomoso, continues to feel the positive impact of his people-first governance,” — Prince Dotun Oyelade, Commissioner for Information.

The Commissioner further reassured residents of Ogbomoso Zone of the government’s unwavering commitment to security enhancement, noting that peace and safety remain critical to the region’s continued economic and social development.

Also addressing the gathering, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Prof. Musibau Babatunde, emphasized the importance of citizen participation and civic responsibility.
He urged residents to continue supporting government initiatives through active engagement and timely payment of taxes, noting that such cooperation ensures that developmental projects reach every community.

Let me assure you that Governor Seyi Makinde has your interest at heart. This administration is driven by the needs and aspirations of the people,” — Prof. Musibau Babatunde, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning.

The consultative meeting drew the presence of notable personalities including Mr. Ayanleke T.J, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning; Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly; and Oba Adeyeye Oyetunji, who graciously hosted the gathering alongside other royal fathers in attendance.

Also present were religious leaders — pastors and imams — security agencies, traditional leaders, and representatives of various community-based organizations and professional groups across the zone.

The event host, Hon. Seun Ojo, Chairman of Ogo-Oluwa Local Government, expressed gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde for making inclusive governance a living reality, stating that the people of Ogbomoso Zone remain proud beneficiaries of the governor’s visionary leadership.
