Nine Thousand, seven hundred and seventy-two (9,772) new undergraduate students were this morning matriculated into the academic environment at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

Speaking today at the Main Campus of the Institution, where the 2024/2025 Matriculation ceremony held, Vice Chancellor of the Oyo State owned Institution, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, said the figure represented qualified students from across thirty-five states of the Federation who scaled screening and registration processes into the various academic programs in the 13 Faculties of the University.

Represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Strategy and Development), Professor Adepoju Tunde Joseph Ogunkunle, the Vice Chancellor admonished the matriculants to be up and doing and be ready to obey rules, laws and regulations of the Institution to avoid being sent out of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology.

While telling the students that the University is non-residential, he explained that the University was committed to ensuring that they were secured. Security surveillance devices are being deployed to all locations where students reside so as to monitor activities and situations as well as discourage undesirable groupings.

He also implored the matriculating students to get focused in their studies. Professor Kalilu at the end of the ceremony announced Scholarship for the best 100 Level student in 2023/2024academic session, Ayoola Taofikat Olamide of the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences.
