Former First Lady of Oyo State, Chief Mrs. Olayinka Mutiat Ladoja, has commiserated with the Executive governor of Oyo State Engr. Seyi Makinde and the entire Makinde family over the passing of Engr. Sunday Makinde, the governor’s elder brother.

In a statement issued on Friday, Chief Mrs. Ladoja, a Board of Trustee Member ( BOT) of the Peoples Democratic Party, described the late Engr. Sunday Makinde as a compassionate and supportive figure whose legacy of humility, kindness, and service will remain cherished by all who knew him.

She noted the significant bond shared by the Makinde family and commended the deceased for his contributions to the growth of the family and the State.

“Engr. Sunday Makinde was a pillar of strength and a source of inspiration not just to his family but to many across the state, who have known and interacted with him, His loss is deeply felt, and my thoughts and prayers are with His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde and the entire Makinde family during this trying period,” she said.

Chief Mrs. Ladoja prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed soul and for God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss. She also urged them to find solace in the impactful life he lived and the positive memories he left behind.

The death of Engr. Sunday Makinde, which was announced earlier today, has continued to elicit tributes and messages of condolence from across the state and beyond, with many describing him as a man of integrity and a beacon of family values.
