The Director General of the Oyo State Investment and Public-Private Partnership Agency (OYSIPA), Mr. Tilewa Folami, has expressed deep sympathy over the demise of Engr. Sunday Makinde, the elder brother of Governor Seyi Makinde.
In a statement issued on Friday, Mr. Folami described the passing of Engr. Sunday Makinde as a profound loss to the Makinde family and the state as a whole. He remarked that the late Engr. Sunday Makinde played a vital role in nurturing the values of humility, diligence, and service that the Makinde family is known for.
“I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Engr. Sunday Makinde. He was an embodiment of strength to the family and played a significant role in shaping the values that have brought the Makinde family to limelight. My thoughts and prayers are with His Excellency and the entire Makinde family during this challenging time,” I have had course to relate with Engr. Sunday Makinde, he was a great man indeed. He will be terribly missed, he said.
Hon. Folami further prayed for God’s comfort and strengthen the family, urging them to find comfort in the impactful life and enduring legacy of the late Engr. Sunday Makinde.
The death of Engr. Sunday Makinde, which occurred Friday morning, has continued to draw tributes and messages of sympathy from various quarters, emphasizing his contribution to family and society.
Mr. Folami had earlier today visited the home of late Engr Sunday Makinde to commiserate with the family.
