Former President and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Federal Government to find a means to Finance Education for its sustainability.
Speaking at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, yesterday, he said government at all levels must empower the youths to become provider of job opportunities.
The promoter of Bells University of Technology, Sango Otta, Ogun State, spoke at the 70th birthday celebration of the Vice Chancellor of the Bells University, Professor Jeremiah Oludele Ojediran, who delivered his valedictory lecture at LAUTECH.
Obasanjo eulogized LAUTECH for nurturing good academics and administrators, example of Professors Adeyemi and Ojediran, two LAUTECH professors who had been Vice Chancellors of Bells University at different times.
He said he is education for service rather than for profit, reiterating his commitment to sustain the legacy of education in Nigeria.
