The lawmaker representing Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West federal constituency of Oyo state at the House of representatives, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, has commenced the installation of 100 solar-powered street lights across strategic locations within his constituency.
The installation, according to the Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs to the two term PDP lawmaker, Tolu Mustapha, is part of the Odidiomo Grassroot Development Initiative which is aimed at enhancing infrastructure and improving the quality of life for residents in the affected areas.
The solar street lights, which are being installed in key areas, such as Anfani, Dugbe, Agbeni, Odo-Ona, and Jericho, DSS, Museum Road, among other strategic locations is part of Hon. Olajide’s ongoing efforts to fulfill his promises to his constituents by facilitating projects that directly address the community’s needs, particularly in the areas of security and infrastructure development.
Speaking further, Mustapha said Hon. Olajide, has always expressed his unwavering commitment to the sustainable development of his constituency, emphasizing the importance of renewable energy solutions in addressing the power and security challenges faced by many communities.
“This commitment represents a significant step toward making our environment safer and more conducive for our people,” said Mustapha.
“The installation of these solar street lights will not only improve safety by providing better illumination on the streets, but it will also contribute to reducing our dependence on non-renewable energy sources.”
Tolu Mustapha assured the people of Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West federal constituency of Oyo state, that more projects were in the works and pledged the commitment of Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide to enhancing the living standard of his constituents, by providing long-term solutions that will improve their day-to-day living.
