The former First Lady of Oyo State, Chief Mrs. Olayinka Mutiat Ladoja, has expressed her condolences to Chief Mikhail Bayo Lawal, the Senior Executive Assistant on General Administration,to governor Seyi Makinde following the passing of his wife, Retired Justice Beatrice Adesuwa Lawal.
Chief Mrs. Ladoja, who is also the Maye Iyalode of Ibadanland, mourned over the loss, describing it as both shocking, tragic and a sad episode. She remarked that the death of Justice Lawal is not only a deep loss to her immediate family but also to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
In a statement to the media, Chief Mrs. Ladoja reflected on the inevitability of life and death as described in the Holy Scriptures, noting, however, that the pain of losing a loved one is always challenging. She expressed comfort in knowing that Justice Lawal lived a meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy that will endure. She advised the family, particularly Chief Bayo Lawal, to find solace in their cherished memories, reminding them that loved ones live on in our hearts and memories always.
She continued, “While this is a great loss for the Lawal family, we are reminded by Allah’s words in the Holy Quran: ‘Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.’”
I extends my condolences to Chief Lawal, praying that Almighty Allah grants Justice Beatrice Adesuwa Lawal Aljannah Firdaus and gives the family the strength to bear this Irredeemable loss.
