Some staff members of the Nigerian Ministry of Women Affairs were seen in a viral video celebrating the removal of their former principal, Uju-Kennedy Ohanenye, following her dismissal by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday, News360 Nigeria reports.
Ohanenye was one of the ministers relieved of their duties, with the presidency announcing that she would be immediately replaced by Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, a former Minister of State for Police Affairs.

A viral video shared on X by Theo Abu captured ministry employees singing and dancing to celebrate Ohanenye’s exit. The video followed allegations of N1.5 billion in diverted funds for capital projects under her tenure, which led to a confrontation with the House of Representatives’ Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development.
Ohanenye was among five ministers sacked by President Tinubu, which also included Lola Ade-John, Prof Tahir Mamman, Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo, and Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim.
